Zoom in or scroll to inspect details. Enabled features and results depend on your business setup and connected services.
The workflow · Booking
When is an appointment actually booked?
A customer can contact you through your public business page or book an available time when instant booking is enabled. An appointment is confirmed after the calendar accepts it and its record is saved.
Open your business page
Customers see your services and contact options. Public listing, a live business line and page settings shape what is available.
Contact you or choose an open time
Contact-only pages offer call, text or chat. Instant booking uses a connected Google Calendar so customers can choose a service, time and their details.
Check the booking result
A confirmed booking shows appointment details and a manage link. An unconfirmed result needs review or retry; a separate email attempt does not establish booking success.
Change or cancel later
Eligible upcoming appointments can offer cancellation or another available time through the confirmation link. Read the returned result to confirm the change.
Online changes are unavailable
Contact the business when the appointment cannot be managed online. A contact-only conversation does not itself reserve a time.
What to verify: Verify the appointment in the connected calendar and review the confirmation or change result.
What shapes the experience
Business page details, public listing opt-in, a live business line, and a connected Google Calendar for instant booking.
What to know
Contact-only pages arrange a time without confirming a booking. Instant booking confirms after the calendar accepts and the record is saved. Upcoming appointments can offer cancellation or a new available time; review the returned result. Email delivery is separate.
