Xfinity Voice home phone
Xfinity Voice settings only show forwarding that sends every call. To send just the calls you miss to Kai, call Xfinity and ask for “call forwarding no answer” to your Kai number.
Which Xfinity line is this? This page is for an Xfinity Voice home phone. For other Comcast lines, use these steps instead:

Send Missed Calls to Kai
- Find your Kai number in Dashboard > Phone System.
- Call Xfinity support from the account holder's phone.
- Ask them to forward calls you don't answer, and calls while you're busy, to your Kai number.
- Ask how many rings come first. Four or five is a good start.
- Call your number from a cell phone and let it ring to check that Kai answers.
Don't turn on Basic Call Forwarding. It sends every call to Kai, and your home phone stops ringing.
Skip Advanced Call Forwarding too. It forwards every call to other numbers as well as your home phone. Xfinity doesn't say it waits for you to miss the call first.
Want Kai to take every call? Then give out your Kai number as your main number. You don't need forwarding at all.
Turn Forwarding Off
If Xfinity set it up for you, call them back and ask them to turn it off. If you turned on a forwarding rule yourself, sign in to Xfinity, open your Voice settings, then Call Forwarding, and switch it off.
How It Works
Xfinity's help lists three kinds of forwarding for home phones:
- Basic sends all calls to one number.
- Advanced sends all calls to up to four numbers as well as your home phone.
- Selective forwards calls from up to 25 numbers you pick.
None of these waits for you to miss a call. That is why the forward-on-no-answer rule has to come from Xfinity support.

Can Xfinity Voice forward only the calls I miss?
Not from the settings page. Xfinity Voice settings show Basic, Advanced and Selective forwarding, and none of them waits for you to miss a call. Call Xfinity support and ask for call forwarding no answer to your Kai number.
Should I turn on Basic Call Forwarding?
No. Basic Call Forwarding sends every call to Kai, and your home phone stops ringing.
Is Xfinity Mobile the same as Xfinity Voice?
No. Xfinity Mobile is a cell phone service on the Verizon network, so it uses the Verizon mobile codes.
What if I want Kai to take every call?
Give out your Kai number as your main number. Then you don’t need forwarding at all.
Do I lose my phone number if I forward it?
No. Forwarding does not move or cancel your number. Keep your phone plan active. Your number stays yours, and you can turn forwarding off any time.
