Zendesk Support Integration

Every support call can open a Zendesk ticket.

Kai answers your support line, can pass callers to your team, and puts the call into Zendesk Support so nothing is lost between the phone and your help desk.

Per call

Each finished call opens one ticket. A repeat of the same call never opens a second.

Until you say so

Connecting Zendesk does not create tickets. Your admin turns tickets on.

No token
Admin approval

Your Zendesk admin signs in and approves. Nothing to copy or paste.

What goes on the ticket

Kai adds a private note your team can read before anyone replies:

  • The caller's name and phone number, when Kai got them
  • A short summary of the call
  • A link to the call record in KaiCalls
  • A call ID, so the same call never opens two tickets

How to set it up

  1. 1In KaiCalls, open Settings, then Connections, then Zendesk Support. Type your Zendesk subdomain (the part before .zendesk.com).
  2. 2Choose Authorize Zendesk. A Zendesk admin signs in and approves access to tickets. You never paste an API token.
  3. 3Pick a group, priority and tags for new tickets if you want them. The group is optional.
  4. 4Ticket creation stays off until you turn it on. When you are ready, choose Every completed inbound customer call and save.
  5. 5Call your KaiCalls number with a real question. After you hang up, open the ticket link in Connections and check it.

Questions

Which calls become tickets?+

Right now there is one choice: a ticket for every completed inbound customer call. That fits a line used only for support. If other calls reach the same line, leave tickets off and we will plan a better rule with you.

Can Kai transfer callers to my technicians?+

Yes. Add each person as a Human Handoff Destination on your number, and Kai can pass the caller to them. Opening a ticket and transferring a call are separate. A ticket does not move the call by itself.

Do I have to give KaiCalls an API token?+

No. Your Zendesk admin approves the connection by signing in to Zendesk. KaiCalls keeps that approval on its servers.

Does the caller get an email from Zendesk?+

KaiCalls does not send one. If the caller gave no email, Kai does not make one up. Their name and phone go in a private note on the ticket.

Do I need a setup call?+

No. A Zendesk admin can connect it in about two minutes. Book a call if you want help planning which calls go to which technician.

Want it on your support line?

Connect Zendesk yourself in two minutes, or book 30 minutes and we add your technicians as transfer numbers and test a real call together.
