Ads Tracking Integration

Connect Meta Conversions API (CAPI).

Send completed call events to Meta to track your Facebook and Instagram ads.

Kai reporting conversion events to Meta ads

Server CAPI

Tracking method

Bypasses ad blockers by sending events from our server.

Lead events

Data sent

Sends call duration, caller status, and qualified Lead events.

Not Lead Ads

Reporting only

Sends ad signals back to Meta; does not download Meta lead forms.

Overview

What this ad connection does.

Prove to Meta which ads generate real customer calls.

Server-side conversion tracking

KaiCalls sends call events straight to Meta's server. This avoids cookie blocks.

Optimizes your ad budget

Meta uses the call event to find more people likely to call your business.

Hashes customer data

Caller phone numbers and names are hashed first to protect privacy.

Reports Qualified Leads

You can tell KaiCalls to send a Lead event only when a call lasts over 60 seconds.

Important difference

This is reporting, not Meta Lead Ads ingestion.

Know this key rule before you connect.

This tool does NOT download Facebook lead forms. It sends call results back to Meta for ad reporting. To import Facebook form leads into KaiCalls, use Zapier or Webhooks instead.

Setup

How to connect Meta CAPI.

Follow these steps to link your Meta Pixel and Dataset.

  1. 1

    Open Connections in KaiCalls

In KaiCalls, go to Connections > Facebook CAPI.
  2. 2

Find your Dataset ID in Meta

In Events Manager, copy your Pixel or Dataset ID.
  3. 3

    Create an Access Token

In Events Manager, click Generate token under Conversions API.
  4. 4

    Paste and save in KaiCalls

Paste your Dataset ID and token into KaiCalls. Click Save and Test.

Verification

How to prove it worked.

Send a test conversion event to Meta.

  • In Meta Events Manager, click on the Test Events tab for your Dataset.
  • Copy the test event code (e.g. TEST12345).
  • Paste the code into the Test Event field on the KaiCalls card and click Send Test.
  • Watch the Test Events feed in Meta: Confirm the "Lead" event appears green as Accepted.

Troubleshooting

Fix common Meta CAPI errors.

Invalid access token (190)

Your Meta token may have expired. Generate a fresh System User token in Meta Business Settings and save it.

Events not appearing in reporting

Meta can take up to 20 minutes to display live server events in standard reports. Use the Test Events tab for instant proof.

Event match quality is low

Ensure callers give full 10-digit phone numbers and names. Higher match parameters help Meta pair the call to an ad click.

Wrong Dataset ID

Check that the Dataset ID in KaiCalls matches the active Pixel attached to your Facebook ad campaigns.

Leaving

How to disconnect Meta CAPI.

Click Disconnect on the Facebook CAPI card in KaiCalls. Kai will stop sending events to Meta. Past events in Meta stay in your ad account.
