How to Get a Daily Goals Check-In Call
Flip the phone around: instead of you calling Kai, Kai calls you. Every day at a time you pick, he checks in on what you committed to yesterday, asks what today's focus is, and puts anything you want tracked on your list. Each call builds on the last one.
What It Is
The daily goals check-in is a short, recurring accountability call. You tell Kai "call me every morning at eight to check on my goals" and from then on he does — opening with follow-ups on what you said you'd do ("yesterday you said you'd finish the Henderson quote — did it go out?"), asking what today's focus is, and capturing new commitments so tomorrow's call can follow up on them.
It's built for owners who want a two-minute daily ritual that keeps the important things from slipping — no app, no journal, no habit tracker. The phone call is the whole interface.
- Kai only ever calls the admin phone you've already registered with your business — nobody else can enroll you, and nobody else gets the call.
- This is a private accountability call, not a sales or admin call. Kai talks to you directly and candidly, celebrates wins in one line, and skips the guilt when something slipped.
- Anything you want tracked lands on your action-item list — the same list you can review any time by calling Kai.
Turn It On by Voice
There is nothing to set up in the dashboard. Call your own KaiCalls number from your admin phone and just ask.
| Say something like... | What Kai does |
|---|---|
| "Call me every morning at 8 to check on my goals" | Turns the daily check-in on at 8:00 AM in your timezone, confirming both aloud |
| "Move my goals call to 7:30" | Changes the daily call time |
| "What's my check-in schedule?" | Reads back whether the check-in is on and what time he calls |
| "Stop the daily check-ins" | Turns it off — no more calls until you re-enable |
The schedule respects your timezone, so an 8 AM check-in stays an 8 AM check-in through travel and daylight saving changes.
What the Call Is Like
Kai opens with "Hey, it's Kai with your daily goals check-in — got a couple minutes?" and keeps it brief and warm, one item at a time:
- Follow-ups first. He asks how the things you previously committed to went — one specific item at a time. A win gets one short line of celebration; a slip gets "is it still a priority?", not a lecture.
- Today's focus. Then he asks what you're focused on today and listens for new commitments.
- Tracked on your list. If you want something written down, Kai adds it to your action items — as a plain task, or as a reminder when you name a time ("remind me Thursday morning"). He confirms the wording aloud before saving.
- Nothing else. The check-in call deliberately does one job. For messages, leads, calendar, or settings, call Kai yourself — the full secretary is always there.
How Kai Remembers
After each check-in, the goals and commitments you stated are saved to Kai's memory of you. The next call starts from that memory — so the second and every later call opens with informed follow-ups instead of "so, what are your goals?" The longer you keep the ritual, the sharper the follow-ups get.
The very first call has no history yet, so Kai skips the follow-up step and goes straight to today's focus. And if memory features are turned off for your business, Kai tells you honestly when you enroll: he'll still call every day, but he won't be able to carry your goals from one day to the next.
If You Miss the Call
Life happens. The check-in is designed to never become a nuisance:
- If you don't pick up, Kai leaves it at that and tries once more a little later — at most two attempts per day, ever.
- Both attempts stay close to your chosen time. If the window passes, Kai simply waits for tomorrow — he will never ring you at an odd hour to make up a missed check-in.
- Miss a day entirely and the next call just picks up where you left off — your goals don't reset.
FAQ
- •Which number does Kai call? The admin phone you called from when you enrolled — the same one Kai already recognizes when you call in. If that phone is ever removed from your admin list, the check-in switches itself off rather than calling a number that's no longer yours.
- •Can I do weekdays only, or weekly? Not yet — the check-in is daily at one set time. If you want a break, say "stop the daily check-ins" and turn it back on whenever you're ready; your goal history is still there.
- •Where do the goals I mention actually go? Commitments you ask Kai to track become action items — call Kai any time and ask "what's on my list?" to hear them. Everything else lives in Kai's memory of your check-ins and comes back as follow-up questions.
- •Can someone else on my team get one? The check-in is tied to admin phones, so it's for owners and admins today.
