Spectrum Mobile call forwarding
On Spectrum Mobile, dial *71 and then your Kai number. Your phone still rings first. Kai only gets the calls you don't pick up.
Which Spectrum line is this? This page is for a Spectrum Mobile cell phone. For a Spectrum home or office phone, use the Spectrum Business and Voice steps.
Have your Kai number handy. It's in Dashboard > Phone System.
Turn Forwarding On
- Use the Spectrum Mobile phone you want to forward. Open the keypad.
- Dial the code below, then your 10-digit Kai number with the area code.
- Tap Call. Wait for the tone, then hang up.
- Call your number from another phone and let it ring to check that Kai answers.
Calls you don't answer (recommended)
*71[your Kai number]
Spectrum Mobile runs on the Verizon network. There, the phone rings about 3–4 rings before the call moves on. You can't change that from the code.
Don't use *72. It sends every call to Kai, and your phone stops ringing.
Rather not dial a code? Spectrum also lets the account holder set forwarding in the Spectrum account or the My Spectrum App. Pick the option for missed calls and busy calls, not all calls.
Code rejected? Ask Spectrum Mobile to forward the calls you don't answer to your Kai number.
Turn Forwarding Off
Dial this from the same phone, then wait for the tone:

Test it. Call your number from another phone. If Kai still answers, turn forwarding off in your Spectrum account.
How It Works
The forward happens in the network, not in an app. Your phone rings as usual. When you don't pick up, Spectrum sends the call on to your Kai number.
While forwarding is on, missed calls skip your phone's voicemail and go to Kai.

No. Call forwarding only moves voice calls. Texts keep going to your phone. To have Kai answer texts, you need texting turned on for your Kai number, which is a separate step.
