Spectrum Business
On a Spectrum phone line, dial *92 and then your Kai number. Your phone still rings first. Kai only gets the calls you don't pick up.
Before you start: have your Kai number handy. It's in Dashboard > Phone System.
Turn Forwarding On
- Pick up the phone on the Spectrum line you want to forward.
- Dial the code below and wait for the tone.
- Enter your 10-digit Kai number. Wait for the confirmation.
- Hang up. Kai will call your business line to check that it works.
Calls you don't answer (recommended)
*92[your Kai number]
Calls that come in while you're on the phone
*90[your Kai number]
Code rejected? On some older lines, the feature has to be switched on in the Spectrum voice portal first. Turn on “Call Forwarding No Answer” there, then dial the code again. You can also ask Spectrum Business to set it for you.
Don't use *72. It sends every call to Kai, and your own phone stops ringing.
Hosted phone system? If your office uses Spectrum's hosted system, the codes may not work. Ask the person who runs it to set “forward on no answer” to your Kai number.
Spectrum Mobile cell phone? That runs on the Verizon network. Use the Verizon steps instead.

How It Works
The forward happens inside Spectrum's phone network, not on your phone. Each code sets one rule on your line. Your phone rings as usual. When a rule's condition is met, Spectrum sends the call on to your Kai number.

Does the code work on Spectrum Business Voice?
Yes. Spectrum lists it in its Business Voice feature code guide. On some older lines you must switch the feature on in the Spectrum voice portal first. Or ask Spectrum Business to set "call forward no answer" to your Kai number.
Do these codes work on Spectrum Mobile?
No. Spectrum Mobile runs on the Verizon network, so it uses the Verizon codes instead.
Do I lose my phone number if I forward it?
No. Forwarding does not move or cancel your number. Keep your phone plan active. Your number stays yours, and you can turn forwarding off any time.
