What the WooCommerce connection does.
Kai answers order status questions for your shoppers.
Order status lookup
Callers ask about their order. Kai checks your WooCommerce store and reads back the order status (such as processing or completed).
Matches caller phone
Kai matches incoming calls to billing phone numbers saved on recent checkout orders.
Answers store questions
Kai uses your store FAQ to answer questions about shipping costs, returns, and hours.
Safe and read-only
Kai only needs Read permissions. He cannot modify products, prices, or orders.
Prerequisites
Before you connect.
1. WordPress admin login
You need admin access to your WordPress dashboard with WooCommerce installed.
2. HTTPS website
Your website must have a valid SSL certificate (https://).

How to connect WooCommerce.
Follow these steps to generate your REST API keys.

Generate keys in WooCommerce
In WordPress, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API. Click Add key. - 2
Set permissions to Read
Set Description to "KaiCalls" and Permissions to "Read". Click Generate API key. - 3
Open Connections in KaiCalls
In KaiCalls, open Connections > WooCommerce. - 4
Paste your URL and keys
Enter your website URL, Consumer Key, and Consumer Secret. Click Save Connection.
Verification
How to prove it worked.
Test order lookup with a live call.
- Find an active order number in WooCommerce > Orders (e.g. #3012).
- Call your KaiCalls number from a personal phone.
- Ask Kai: "Can you check on order 3012?"
- Verify Kai reads back the correct order status and date.
- Check your KaiCalls call log to see the completed order check.
Troubleshooting
Fix common WooCommerce issues.
Connection test failed (401)
Double-check that you copied the full Consumer Key and Consumer Secret without extra spaces.
Blocked by security plugin
If you use Wordfence or Cloudflare, ensure your site allows REST API requests to /wp-json/wc/v3/.
Order not found
Make sure the order number exists in WooCommerce and that the order has not been deleted or trashed.
Wrong website URL
Enter your full site URL including https:// (for example: https://www.yourshop.com).
Leaving
How to disconnect WooCommerce.
Click Disconnect on the WooCommerce card in KaiCalls. You can also revoke the API key inside your WordPress dashboard under WooCommerce REST API settings.
