How to Manage Your Product Catalog

Add your products and prices so Kai can quote them accurately when customers call.

What This Screen Is For

Open Dashboard > Business > Settings > Products. The page header shows your business name, the total number of products, and an Add Product button.

Anything you add here is what Kai uses when a caller asks “how much is X? ” If the catalog is empty, Kai will say he is not sure on pricing. If a product is hidden, Kai will not mention it.

Adding a Product Manually

  1. Click Add Product.
  2. Fill in Name (required), Description, Category, Price, and SKU.
  3. Click Save.

The product appears at the top of your list and is immediately available to Kai on the next call.

Importing Products in Bulk

Click Import Products to expand the import section. Three file types are supported:

  • CSV — the cleanest option. Click Download Example CSV to get the exact column headers Kai expects: name, description, category, price, sku.
  • PDF — upload a printable price sheet, menu, or service list. Kai reads it and extracts each product.
  • Image (JPG or PNG) — a photo of a printed menu or board works. Kai uses vision to extract products.

Pick your file, then click Upload & Extract. Kai processes the file and adds the extracted products. You will get a toast confirming how many were added, plus a summary of what was found.

Searching the Catalog

The search bar filters by name, category, description, or SKU as you type. The count next to the page title updates to reflect what is visible.

Per-Product Actions

Each product row has three icon buttons on the right:

  • Eye (green when active) — toggles whether the product is visible to Kai. Hidden products stay in your catalog but Kai will not mention them on calls. Useful for seasonal items or things you are temporarily out of.
  • Pencil — opens the edit dialog with the product's current values pre-filled.
  • Trash — deletes the product permanently after a confirmation prompt.

Bulk Delete

Use the checkbox on each row to select products, or the Select all checkbox at the top of the list to grab everything currently visible. Once one or more are selected, a red Delete N Products button appears. Click it and confirm to remove all selected products at once.

Bulk delete cannot be undone. If you might need a product back later, hide it instead.
