Lower a bill
How to lower your Verizon bill
Verizon says you change your plan on the My plan page in My Verizon. Verizon does not charge to change a plan, though your monthly charges can change with the plan you pick.
The steps Verizon publishes
- 1Sign in to My Verizon.
- 2Open the My plan page and change your plan there.
- 3If there is a pending order on the account, finish or cancel it first. Verizon can’t change a plan while an order is pending.
- 4Your new plan should show in My Verizon within 24 hours of the change date you chose.
Phone: 800-922-0204 (The number Verizon lists on that page for speaking with someone)
- Verizon says only the Account Owner or an Account Manager can see every line and plan on the account, so Verizon may ask to speak with you.

Or ask your assistant to have Kai make the call
If you would rather ask a person which plans would cost less for your lines, Kai can make that call and bring back what they say. The request below asks him only to find out the options.
Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant connected to KaiCalls:
Have Kai call Verizon at 800-922-0204. I have [number of lines] lines and pay about [amount] a month. Ask which plans would cost less for my lines, what I would give up, and whether any promotion applies. Don’t change anything, just find out the options.
If Kai makes the call
What Kai does on the call
- Opens by saying he is an AI assistant calling for you.
- Works through the phone menu and waits on hold.
- Asks the questions in your request, one at a time.
- Brings the answer back to your assistant, and you get a transcript of the call.
What he can’t do
- He can’t prove he is you. Many companies only discuss an account with the account holder, or ask security questions he has no answer to. When that happens, the transcript says so.
- Leave card numbers, passwords and Social Security numbers out of your request.
- He calls businesses in the US and Canada, not personal cell phones.
- He doesn’t place errand calls to numbers in states where everyone on a call must agree to recording: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington.
