Call for me
Have an assistant call a business for you
“Call for me” is when an AI assistant phones a business on your behalf: it dials, gets through the phone menu, asks your question or makes your request, and brings the answer back to you, so you don’t have to make the call yourself.
It suits the calls nobody wants to make: checking whether a shop has something in stock, asking an office for an opening, getting a quote, or asking how to cancel. Here are the ways to get it today, from each service’s own help pages.
Ways to get a call made for you
Gemini “Call for Me” (Google)
- Where it works
- The Gemini app on a Pixel 11 with a US SIM card, for people 18 or over in the US with the phone set to English. Calls US numbers only. Google says it is rolling out gradually.
- What it costs
- Needs a Google AI subscription. The call uses your own number and mobile plan, so standard carrier rates apply.
- Says it’s an AI up front
- Yes. Google says Gemini starts every call by saying it is an AI assistant from Google calling on a recorded line on your behalf, and states your name.
- Listen in or take over
- Yes. You can follow a live transcript or listen live with your microphone muted, and tap Take over to join the call.
- Who it calls
- Businesses, in Google’s examples. There are daily call limits.

Genspark “Call For Me”
- Where it works
- Genspark’s app and website. Its help page doesn’t list supported countries; unsupported ones get an error.
- What it costs
- A flat 500 Genspark credits per call, charged only when the call connects. Registering your own phone number needs Plus or higher.
- Says it’s an AI up front
- Its help page doesn’t say how the call opens, but its rules forbid calls that hide that the caller is an AI or who the call is for.
- Listen in or take over
- Not described. The help page says that once a call connects, it’s best to let the AI finish.
- Who it calls
- Businesses and personal contacts. Limits: 4 connected calls to the same number in 24 hours.

Kai (KaiCalls)
- Where it works
- Inside ChatGPT (the KaiCalls app), Claude, and any assistant that takes a remote MCP connector. Calls US and Canada businesses.
- What it costs
- Your first call to a US or Canada business line is free when you connect through your assistant, before you add a card. After that, calls run on a plan, starting with Kai Backup at $10/mo.
- Says it’s an AI up front
- Yes. Kai’s opening line says he is an AI assistant calling for you.
- Listen in or take over
- Yes. Ask your assistant to take the call over and Kai connects your own phone, or, when your account has recording notices on, get a link to listen live in your dashboard. You also get a transcript.
- Who it calls
- Business lines only. If the number is a cell phone, Kai rings you and connects you instead of talking to it himself.

These services change often. Check each one’s own page before you choose.
How Kai handles a call for you
Kai is a secretary with his own phone line. You ask your assistant, and Kai makes the call, works through the menu, waits on hold and asks your questions.
He says what he is, up front
Every errand call opens with Kai saying he is an AI assistant calling for you, before he asks anything.
Business lines only
Kai checks the line type before he dials. If it is a cell phone, he calls you first and connects you, so a person makes that call, not an AI voice.
No calls where everyone must consent to recording
Kai doesn’t place errand calls to numbers in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington, where everyone on a call must agree to recording.
Your own number comes with it
You get a real US number. When the business calls back, Kai answers it and takes the message. The same number can be your business line, with texting once carrier registration is approved.
The first call is free
Connect through your assistant and your first call to a US or Canada business line is free, before you add a card. It can last up to five minutes. After that, calls run on a plan, starting with Kai Backup at $10/mo.
Ask for your first call
- 1. Connect KaiCalls to your assistant. In ChatGPT, add the KaiCalls app. In Claude or any assistant that takes a remote MCP connector, add
https://www.kaicalls.com/api/mcp. - 2. Sign in. Use your email or Google.
- 3. Ask. “Have Kai call the pharmacy on Main Street and ask if my prescription is ready.” Leave card numbers, passwords and Social Security numbers out of the request.

Questions people ask
- What does “call for me” mean?
- “Call for me” is when an AI assistant phones a business on your behalf: it dials, gets through the phone menu, asks your question or makes your request, and brings the answer back to you, so you don’t have to make the call yourself.
- Which apps can make a phone call for me?
- As of 2 Nov 2026: Gemini’s Call for Me on a Pixel 11 in the US, Genspark’s Call For Me, and Kai, which works inside ChatGPT, Claude and other assistants that take a remote MCP connector.
- Will the business know it’s an AI?
- With Gemini and Kai, yes: both say so at the start of the call. Genspark’s help page doesn’t say how its calls open, but its rules forbid hiding that the caller is an AI.
- Can Kai call a personal cell phone?
- No. Kai only talks to business lines. If the number is a cell phone, he calls you and connects you, so you talk to the person yourself.
- Can I listen in or take over a call Kai is making?
- Yes. While Kai is on the call, ask your assistant to take it over and Kai tells the business he is connecting you, then rings your own phone. When your account has recording notices on, you can also ask for a link to listen live in your KaiCalls dashboard. If the business asks something Kai was not told, he asks you through your assistant instead of guessing.
- What does a call with Kai cost?
- Your first call to a US or Canada business line is free when you connect through your assistant, before you add a card. After that, calls run on a plan, starting with Kai Backup at $10/mo.
- What should I leave out of my request?
- Card numbers, passwords and Social Security numbers. Kai can’t prove he is you, so a company that needs to verify the account holder may ask to speak with you.
