Lower a bill

How to lower your AT&T Wireless bill

AT&T says you change your wireless plan from the Change my plan page or the AT&T app: compare the plans, select the one you want and follow the prompts.

The steps AT&T publishes

  1. 1Go to Change my plan on att.com and sign in if asked. You can also compare plans in the AT&T app.
  2. 2Review the plan options and choose Compare plans to see them side by side.
  3. 3Choose Select on the plan you want and follow the prompts to switch.
  4. 4To keep your current plan, you don’t have to do anything.
  • AT&T’s page doesn’t say who on the account may change the plan. Expect them to want the account holder for any change.

Or ask your assistant to have Kai make the call

AT&T’s page doesn’t print a phone number, so give Kai the number you use for AT&T (it is usually on your bill). He can ask which plans would cost less and bring back what they say.

Paste this into ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant connected to KaiCalls:

Have Kai call AT&T at [the customer service number on my bill]. I have [number of lines] lines and pay about [amount] a month. Ask which plans would cost less for my lines and what would change. Don’t change anything, just find out the options.

If Kai makes the call

What Kai does on the call

  • Opens by saying he is an AI assistant calling for you.
  • Works through the phone menu and waits on hold.
  • Asks the questions in your request, one at a time.
  • Brings the answer back to your assistant, and you get a transcript of the call.

What he can’t do

  • He can’t prove he is you. Many companies only discuss an account with the account holder, or ask security questions he has no answer to. When that happens, the transcript says so.
  • Leave card numbers, passwords and Social Security numbers out of your request.
  • He calls businesses in the US and Canada, not personal cell phones.
  • He doesn’t place errand calls to numbers in states where everyone on a call must agree to recording: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington.
