How you cancel a gym membership depends on the chain, and often on your home club. Some chains take a cancellation online, some want it in person or in writing, and some send you to your home club, by phone or in person. Read your membership agreement first, then use the way your chain lists below.

Planet Fitness lists three ways to end a membership: send written notice by mail to your home club, visit your home club in person, or log in to the member portal on its website.

What Kai does on the call
- Opens by saying he is an AI assistant calling for you.
- Works through the phone menu and waits on hold.

What he can’t do
- He can’t prove he is you. Many companies only discuss an account with the account holder, or ask security questions he has no answer to. When that happens, the transcript says so.

- He calls businesses in the US and Canada, not personal cell phones.
- He doesn’t place errand calls to numbers in states where everyone on a call must agree to recording: California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Washington.
He can’t sign a cancellation form or send a letter for you. When a chain wants it in writing or in person, that part stays with you.
